Adjustable Boxing how can i store tools, spanners etc?
I have a few of my dad's old tools that I took when he died, more for sentimental reasons than anything else. However they are in a big metal box all jumbled up and my friend told me it was not good to keep them llike this but I dont know how to store them in my shed. They are not massive but bigger than average hand tools, for example, one is a 300mm forged alloy steel adjustable spanner, a lobster!!

Same here ...unheated garage.
If they are not going to be used , clean up the inside of the box
& the tools that need it .
You can coat the tools with pastewax or a furniture oil finish.
Would not use silicone spray , oil or wrap them in rags,
Moisture collects on dust & cloth.
"Cosmolene" grease frm a gunshop is also good but messy to clean off.
Might be best for long term storage if you use the cosmolene & tightly wrap the tools in heavy brown waxed paper a gunshop or military surplus store may also have.
