Tips for first-time makeup user?
I've never really worn makeup before, but there is a dance coming up and I want to try. I have medium skin with light brown/amber eyes. I have pretty clear skin.
I don't want anything heavy or noticeable. What do you recommend and what are your favorite products?
I would definetly go for Lashblast mascara from Covergirl(? I'm not sure where its from..). It makes your eyelashes look really long and thick. Then for an eyeliner (either use a eyeliner pencil or tube/stick thing) go for brown, green, purple, or even blue. Not too heavy black eyeliner would look good too. Then for eyeshadow go for bronze or gold colors.
I think almost any colors would go well with amber eyes. If you have a dress picked out then maybe go for makeup colors matching that.
You may not need eyeliner or eyeshadow, but I would at least put on the mascara on top lashes and maybe on bottom. Just don't put it on too clumpy.
There are a few makeup tutorials on youtube for you to look at if your not sure on how to put something on. Good luck =]

I don’t see this one as wimpy at all! In fact, I was just trying to talk my friend into trying this one a few days ago. He said that he has read the forums stating that it is “wimpy” (and what would he know, he doesn’t own a single amber heavy fragrance). I disagree! For me this is the epitome of amber…and I was raised by amber resin burning hippies. There’s nothing holding D’Ambre back!
