Arts Ankle

What happened to my ankle?
ok, so i was sparring for a black belt martial arts tournament, a after the match my toe really hurt, ok, not too bad i thought. But the next morning my entire ankle hurts to move or walk on it. There is no signs of swelling. What might it be?
Yikes! Is it bruised?
Even if it isn't super swollen it could be sprained or fractured. I have sprained one of my ankles three times and it didn't always get really swollen right away. This is especially true in the morning because your foot has been rested all night long.
Go to the doctor. Your regular doc is fine for this, no need to go to the ER or anything and rack up huge bills.
For now, ice it, take some Ibuprofen and rest it. Remember RICE:
Rest
Ice
Elevation
Compression
I'd skip the compression factor for now since you don't know for sure that it isn't broken and compression could make a break worse. But ice and elevation cannot hurt you.
Good luck!

The Arts $76.47 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The arts is a broad subdivision of culture, composed of many creative endeavors and disciplines. It is a broader term than art, which as a description of a field usually means only the visual arts. The arts encompasses visual arts, literature and the performing arts music, drama, dance and film, among others. This list is by no means comprehensive, but only meant to introduce the concept of the arts. A good definition of the arts is given by the Free Dictionary as imaginative, creative, and nonscientific branches of knowledge considered collectively, esp. as studied academically. The singular term art is defined by the Irish Art Encyclopedia as follows: Art is created when an artist creates a beautiful object, or produces a stimulating experience that is considered by his audience to have artistic merit. The same source states: Art is a global activity which encompasses a host of disciplines, as evidenced by the range of words and phrases which have been invented to describe its various forms. Examples of such phraseology include: Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Visual Arts, Decorative Arts, Applied Arts, Design, Crafts, Performing Arts, and so on. Mixed Martial Arts Techniques : Straight Leg Ankle Lock in MMA

September 19th, 2010 at 11:33 pm
Ankle flexibility is one of the first places I examine to assess whether I'm doing too much running and not enough yoga. Whenever I feel like tapping out of lotus pose in pain because it feels more like a mixed martial arts ankle lock that's when I know that I need to spend more time on the mat. Thanks for the great instruction and fun drawing!
