Bag Pillar
Reinforce a standing punch bag?
My last one broke, see this pic:

the guy sent me out a replacement support pillar but I'm afraid to go heavy on the thing in case it breaks again. Is there anything I can do (modify) to make the bag stronger? I was thinking of wrapping it (the lower parts not the bag itself) in rope or chain to absorb shock.
your link isn't working man but I'll try and address your question knowing what i know about free standing bags. There are only two types I'm aware of....the classic steel stand that usually doubles as a speed bag platform and heavy bag truss. If its one of those there are usually spindles at the bottom for adding weights to, in order to keep the bag stand firmly in place.
The other type being the heavy duty plastic sort, typically with a wide base and stand around 5 ft high and the bag is really more of a pad that is height adjuable. Those i have seen break....I fill mine with water past the relief point...well up past the base making it much heavier and much more rigid.
