Ever Last Boxing

What is the best prize you ever got from inside of a Cracker Jack?
Seems as though they've gotten "cheap" in the last 20 years. But I remember when there used to be some fun things in those boxes. What about you?
There were little plastic pinball games which were more like Plinko. Not really challenging but I liked playing them.

Last Round - Chuvalo vs. Ali (2003) (Boxing) DVD $24.98 Last Round - Chuvalo vs. Ali (2003) (Boxing) DVD One of the most riveting and incredible documentaries ever to be made on the sport of boxing THE LAST ROUND chronicles the extraordinary events leading up to the day that George Chuvalo a real life Rocky Balboa type underdog from working-class Toronto took on the man known simply as "The Greatest" Muhammad Ali. Set against the backdrop of the turbulent sixties and a sport embroiled in controversy the film tells the unbelievable yet true story of the "Battle of Toronto" a legendary duel between the highly favored Ali and the unheralded Chuvalo. After fifteen of the most memorable rounds in fighting history Chuvalo earned a place in boxing immortality when Ali deemed him "the toughest man" he had ever faced. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Joseph Blasioli the film follows Chuvalo's career as it takes a harrowing and unlikely path to this defining moment. Fast-paced archival footage of such famous fights as Ali vs. Sonny Liston and Chuvalo vs. Floyd Patterson plus colorful commentary from sports writers Jimmy Breslin and Robert Lipsyte boxing guru Bert Sugar Ali's trainer Angelo Dundee and his brother Rachman Ali all help to bring this dramatic true story to life. In the tradition of the classic boxing documentary When We Were Kings THE LAST ROUND looks back at one of the most passionately fought matches in the history of heavyweight boxing. A contest that took on mythical proportions this award-winning film reminds us that despite the odds and no matter what the circumstances no fight is over until the final bell rings. |

When did they begin to allow drums at boxing matches?
At tonight's fights I heard and saw allot of people with drums all the way until the last round.
Ever since 9/11 I was not allowed to bring in an umbrella or any other object that could be used as a weapon. When did they allow fans to bring in their own musical instrument to a sporting events?
Were they just being nice to the British fans that was visiting? Do British fans carry drums with them every where that they go? What do the drums represent? And back to my original question, why did they let them in with drums?
Brits tend to take drums horns etc...to alot of sports events...especially football/soccer ...so I think the MGM was expecting it and made allowances for it...afterall the fight was done on US grounds, but it's only fair to give it a little British flavour in some way.
Sorry about the booing ...I'm British and felt ashamed when they started doing that.

I've never used giblets on purpose but once (as a very young, very new wife, first time round) cooked the chicken without removing the plastic giblet bag! Not very pleasant. Burning plastic giblets bags smell the exact opposite of that nice oniony garlic smell!I cursed them two. I mean why put them back in? In a plastic bag? It's just stupid…
