Boxing Accessories
I-pod nano - I bought one as a gift. What other accessories do I need to get?
It does come with a tiny box and I assume it contains accessories. What else should I get so my daughter can use it immediately?
I have one of the clock radio/alarm clock/iPod chargers. Mine cost about $70, but you can get ones for less than that. They let you wake up to music from your iPod in the morning and they let you charge your iPod without connecting to a computer or a charger. I have had really good luck with mine and really like it. The link below is for the one I have. You can get the same model for less than their listed price at Wal-Mart ot Target. There are also different products that they make that are pretty cool too!

Another thing she might like is an iTunes gift card. You can get one at just about any retail store. You can also get different dollar amounts on the cards. This would let your daughter get some songs she doesn't have already. Of course if you know a place to get music for less than iTunes then this might be a waste of money!
One thing that I would say is one of the most important things to get is a case. Ipods have a tendancy of getting scratched quite easily. I recomend getting one that has a screen cover or getting a seperate sreen cover that sticks right on the iPod itself. Just one thing you might want to keep in mind when buying a case is that there are many designs and colors, so if you don't know what your daughter likes you might consider a gift certificate.
One last thing, the headphones that come with the iPod are pretty good, but depending on her preferences she may like a different design or style. You can get a decent pair for pretty cheap, so they are probably worth looking at.
