Boxing Gloves Ties

How much does it cost to get the front outer tie-rods replaced on a car?
I just bought a used 1999 Ford Escort SE and looked through all the paperwork left in the glove box. It looks like in March of this year the owner got an estimate for necessary repairs needed for the car. He opted for replacing the Left Rear Tire and the 3rd Brake light but NOT Both Front Outer Tie-Rods.
This is why I believe BOTH Front Tires were balder than he was when I bought the car. I just had Cooper Weather-Master ST2 tires put on and don't want them going bald.
I looked online and Tie-Rods for Ford Escort 1999 would be $23.55 each. Labor is $55 - $60 an hour. If you get the tie-rods replaced you need an alignment. I don't know if you would need an alignment for just the front or the front and the back. But an alignment I think I saw was around $60.
help.
Is it easy to do yourself?
If you don't have the right tools just take it to the shop.
Those don't seen like bad prices and tie rods = safety so don't screw around. Plus you'll be saving your new tires.

What I worry about with this fight is the use of a weapon (hockey stick), which could cause real injury. Fights happen all the time at school, and that will never change. If it happened at my school, the two fighters would be marched-off to the gym, made to wear boxing gloves and fight it out in front of a teacher, who would step in immediately one of them got on top. It was a great way to deal with bullies, as they could not count on their sycophants to back them up.
