Boxing Offense Defense

Will the 49ers draft offense or defense in the draft?
Because they need both. They need some fast, savvy linebackers to complete the 3-4, especially pass rushers. They also need good, fast receivers that can stretch the field and stop defenses from stacking the box against Gore like they did last year.
Which do you think Nolan will go for in the early rounds of the draft? Offense or defense? Why?
Like you say, the 49ers lack a dominant pass-rushing linebacker and need a stalwart presence in the middle who can get a push on the pocket. They have to get quicker and stronger in the middle so look for them to draft a ILB in the first round of the draft. They should target Patrick Willis of Mississippi with the 11th overall pick since he has the size (6'1", 242lbs.), speed (4.51, 40) and overall ability to help them the most. The team then should turn to drafting a wide receiver in the 2nd round to compete with unreliable Antonio Bryant. Many good WRs should still be available such as Steve Smith of USC or Sidney Rice from South Carolina. Once they get their man at WR, they should then focus on drafting depth on defense since that is where the main weaknesses are on the team.

I wish the Detroit men's team could have been a little more agressive on offense and defense this season. How about disbanding the WNBA and sending Lambier to coach the Pistons? Now that would be something grand to see! I'll bet he could keep “Weed” Wallace in line too.By the way, interesting thoughts overall, Owen. I have an awkward experience about co-ed sports but I'm too embarrassed to talk about it. That's why I hear your concerns loud and clear.
