Boxing Punching Bag Can you use bag boxing gloves for sparring purposes?
I have the Rival RS1 Boxing Gloves. They are called "bag" gloves, and should be used for punching bags, but I want to spar as well. Do I need a new pair of gloves or am I okay with the "bag" gloves?
i would say no. bag gloves are for hitting the bag. sparring requires your hands to be wrapped and more padding to protect your hands as sparring is usually done in abundance and therefore your hands need to be protected.

Beginner Boxing Lessons : How to Stop a Swinging Punching Bag
Hitting the Punching bag everyday at home to get ready for boxing? Bad?
I bought that new UFC heavy bag and I was wondering if it would be good to hit it everyday. I do have gloves (MMA and Boxing training gloves) and handwraps.
When training, it would be better to vary your workouts. Work on the heavy every other day. Work on the speed bag on the in between day. Do your roadwork every other day to match the speed bag. Skip rope. A variety of work is better for overall conditioning since boxing will require more than just hard punching.
first you will want to stretch, u have to prepare ur muscles for whats coming. and do not use the weights everyday, use them every other day or u will be doing more harm than good. start off slow with good stretching exercises. then work ur way up to a full cardio, u want to get ur heart rate up and keep it up. jump rope is excellent for this. u will have to take it upon urself to try out the different equipment available to see what works for you. put in at least an hour, after cardio a good moderate pace walk on the track will be good to gradually slow ur heart rate. remember to drink a LOT of water always. good luck
