How to Train for Boxing : Techniques for Combining Punches in Boxing

Alex,
As noted – the most common factor – increase speed to keep from stalling out. Perhaps that means a longer run. [you don't mention a 5, 6, or 7 step run...]
You can see how other vaulters suffer, right?
The ones that slow down at the end, or swing wildly in the air?
You do that by watching them – but you can't watch yourself.
Get someone to video you and see for yourself – what is it that you're doing that stalls you out like that? Some things to watch for:
– speed
– how long you hold the press into the pole
– your swing and tuck
– extension
And if you're holding at 11'6, you may well have a 12' pole. Try a 13' or 14' pole and see. (and if you're bending your 14' pole holding at 11'6", maybe you need a heavier pole to hold higher…
Of course holding higher will test your speed – if you don't have it, the higher hold may clearly kick you out and then you'll know…
Best success and remember – any vault where you land safely on the mats is a good vault;-)
