Ceiling Hanger Boxing
How do I remove an existing metal brace from between two joists in the ceiling?
I already removed the plastic electrical box and now need to remove this metal hanger bar so that I can replace it with a fan rated extension bar. The existing metal bar is stapled to joists with huge staples but it was not fan rated. Also, I have to do this from below.

safe ceiling fan install?
I installed a ceiling fan, but the new junction box is not flush with the ceiling (i.e. recessed) which means that the top of the canopy of the ceiling fan is actually in the ceiling also (appr. 1/2 -1 inch). I'm not concerned with the hole as I can cover it with a ceiling medallion, but it seems that vibrations would be a very big problem this way. I have not been able to find junction box extenders (or a longer junction box) which is also fan rated. The junction box is on a hanger bar which has inverted 'U' shaped ends. Is was a real ordeal to get the bar in, so I would prefer to keep the bar and replace the box if at all possible. Thanks for advice and suggestions.
The "Bar" is the main figure here. It holds the box in the proper distance. You should have thought of this.
I don't think the vibrations would be of any more concern then if it were in deeper. Leave it this way and keep an eye on it, see what happens.
