who will win between randy couture and james toney ?

now think about it , james toney has been a world champion in boxing , his striking is like3 times better than carwin and now he will have way lighter gloves . carwin weny 12-0 by just striking his opponents , if toneys striking is 3times better ,imagine how more dangerous he will be. yea he doesnt have wrestling experience but carwin never needed it to go 12-0, he just knocked people out.

first off, Carwin most certainly did use his wrestling, just not in the way you might think. He used his wrestling to avoid being taken down, and if nothing else his strength and positioning in the clinch are a direct result of his wrestling training. Secondly I think that Toney assuredly has a punchers chance, any boxer does. But, and this is a big but, this is not the first time we have seen a boxer in MMA, Melton Bowan was a high level boxer, though certainly not elite like Toney he also wasn't as beaten up and old either, and he was taken to the ground so quick it made his head spin. Ray Mercer was an elite level boxer, and a legit heavy weight, same with Franz Botha and neither of them have exactly set the MMA world on fire. I think that Randy Couture, though certainly not a boxer, has enough sense and boxing ability to cover up at range and close the distance to get the fight to the ground. If I were Toney I would do everything i could to put my back to the cage so that Couture can't get a clean take down. Even though Randy is good against the cage, keeping it on the feet favors Toney. I think Randy is in far better shape, infinitely more well rounded and savvy enough not to get sucked into Toney's game. I look for Ref stoppage round one. Then Toney goes crazy and calls Randy a pussy for not boxing with him "Like a man." and claims he got screwed etc.
