help select a punching bag?
im 15, 5'10, 155 lbs, 14 inch biceps now i want help selecting a punching bag...my punches are strong..lets say..good...or fair...and umm...im wondering what shud i choose...70lbs 100lbs or 120 lbs or even more? i guess 100 right? andumm is it better to choose a canvas, leather, or synthetic w/e bag...i dunno waht synthetic bag is..i just read it somewhere...so what shud i choose...as a home use...and as punching for a WORK OUT not for skill...so imma punch so hard..and so much.....so..do i also need a based..desktop..or hanged heavy bag? and if hanged then...would the wooden ceiling hold it?. and where is the best palce to buy it..considering the price..plus telling me whats the normal price...(canada)..please help..
A hanged heavy bag is better. You should get a heavy bag that is more than what you weigh. Most people will tell you to start out small by getting a heavy bag that's half your weight or so, but what happens when your power outgrows that bag? You have to buy another one. So I would opt for a heavy bag that is at least your weight in size. If you're rich and serious about training, you'll want to increase the size of the heavy bag (and decrease the size of the speed bag, if you have one) every six months or so. Your best bet in my opinion is to get a water/foam heavy bag made by Ringside. But be sure to choose from the water/foam ones and not just the water ones because the water ones are too thin (only 13" in width). The good thing about water/foam heavy bags is that you can increase or decrease the official weight and firmness of it to your liking, it's much more realistic to hitting a human than any other heavy bag, and it's far easier on your joints. Also, if you need to store or transport it, you can simply drain it and refill it for later use. If for some reason you don't want a water/foam bag, opt for any other Ringside brand heavy bag, preferably one that is soft-filled as it's easier on your joints and is much less prone to causing an injury.
Ringside is the only brand I vouch for or recommend when it comes to heavy bags or bags in general. The only thing I dislike about Ringside is that their customer service is horrible and their shipping is contracted through UPS. It's a horrid company that produces excellent products.
The brands you'll want to avoid at all costs are Everlast, Title, Combat Sports, Century, or anything else that is not Ringside, Cleto Reyes, Winning, or Grant (the only thing good that Grant produces is their "Professional" line of gloves, no other products).

ok…well, i would say a guy hitting a woman, even in retaliation is crazy. women are emotional yes, and usually won't hit, but if they do, why stoop to their level? just restrain them if you think you're that much stronger, if not…then fight back if they're going to beat you up. but a guy who is stronger than his woman, if he thinks his woman is weak, hits her back, he just makes a pathetic example of himself.

Congratulations on your accomplishment!!! It seems like things are really going well for you. I was thinking about some ideas on how you can relieve stress. I always find a nice quiet walk helps, but in 100 degree weather it is not a good option. Maybe you can try something like this desktop punching bag.
