Poster enlargement question?
If I want a poster such as this one.....

Can I take it from a 11 X 17 in. poster print, and have it blown up (enlarged) somewhere else into something like a 38 X 54 in. poster print? Will it be clear? Or will it look fuzzy? Is it even worth doing if its going to turn out bad?
an 11 x 17 comes to 38 x 58 if properly enlarged from the corners.
Before doing it, start the original pinc at 600 dpi and enlarge it to 38 x 58 if you don't want distortion. Now, resample at 300 dpi. No need to go more than this since the printer will print it at 600 or 1200 dpi.
Now, once resampled, just add a little blut to it. Now apply a directional sharpen. Save and ir will print perfectly. How i know this is because i run a printing press and do this all the time.

I think at least $5 is fair….especially if it's just of the evenings while parents go out. If they're only gone for 3 hours, you've only made $15, plus gone to the hassle of going to their house…..which would amount to more loss if you had to drive and spen gas $$ to get there. Try even a flat rate, say $25 an evening.
