Back to boxing. What-percentage of power do you think Ali lost on his punches because of the shoes he wore?
Ali trained in black high top army boots, and he fought in white calve high white Everlast hard bottom leather shoes. If Ali would have had Nike Air Max shoes to train in, and a lower cut rubber bottom pair of Nike cross trainers. Do you think he would have had more knocks outs?
I think Ali's footwork would have improved better. Ali was already equppied with great lateral movements and spectacular footspeed particularly for his size. I think he was very comfortable using his Everlast learther shoes, as he showed no sign of slowing down at all in any of his fights.
I dont know if there will be any differences in the result, I think it has a minimal impact, but it may certainly change the way Muhammad Ali fought.

okay so my dad has a punching bag outside
and well since im the only girl wanting to defend my self aswell as tone up ..is there anything special like a routine?
do i need everlast gloves to practise?
is there a video where i can learn from?
see theres alot of fights lately not that i want to be in one but just incase.

Well the following is about the average training a boxer is involved in:
- Shadowboxing
- Heavybag
- Speedbag
- Running/jogging
- Jump rope
- Sit-ups
- Push-ups
At the bare minimum, you should be doing that. When you do that for 5 days a week for a couple months, move it on up.
It's mainly shadowboxing, heavy bag, and natural exercises like sit-ups and push-ups that matter. But cardio and eating right also matter just as much. You should get good nutrition out of the food you eat (fiber and protein are very important).
Just in case you're interested, below is my personal workout routine for my "off time" and "pre-fight" times that I'm going to be starting during the summer.
OFF TIME (Mon-Fri):
6 AM:
Stretch
Jog 3 miles
Nap (8:00 AM-11:30 AM)
Gym:
Stretch
Shadowboxing - 6 rounds.
Heavy bag - 6 rounds.
Slip bag - 10 minutes.
Jump rope - 10 minutes.
30 minute break
Stretch
Calisthenics (5x circuit):
250 Situps (50)
100 Pushups (20)
50 Pullups (10)
Neck exercises - 10 minutes.
10 PM:
Bedtime
PRE FIGHT (3 months pending fight, Mon-Fri):
6 AM:
Stretch.
Run 5 miles.
Nap (9:00 AM-11:30 AM)
Stretch.
Shadowboxing - 10 rounds.
Heavy bag - 10 rounds.
Mitt work - 10 rounds.
Speed bag - 10 minutes.
