97 saab 900 question for a pro gear head?
Got a few issues.. the cruse dont work ,the power seats and the heat in seats not working but have power at the plug and light on dash alumnates,,front fog lights not working all fuses are good..check laches comes on and the top is up...if your really good at saab mechanics e-mail me at octar1331@yahoo.com id like to pick your brain
Start with checking every fuse with a test light on both sides of the fuse and verify that any fuse holder that is empty is supposed to be empty.
The cruise controller or cable could be faulty.
Heated seat grids fail, caused by an open circuit in the grid itself by wear and tear on the seats.
Power seat relays fall out of their sockets under the seat and rest on the bar (just reinstall it).
Front fog lights could just have bad bulbs or bad ground on the bulbs. Make sure the relay is in place. Make sure your headlights are on.
"Check Latches" usually means there is a micro switch/potentiometer that is faulty or out of range. When replacing a micro switch, you may need to have the top programmed. Your tonneau motor may have bad gears caused by the hinge twisting. Tonneau latch motor could be faulty, causing it not to latch the 5th bow to the tonneau cover.

Your question is rather long with a lot of unnecessary information. After gleaning out the real question I would say this guy is no mechanic. He is a hack that thinks he knows what he is doing. Take it to a reputable shop but do not take it back to him.
