Bench Press In Boxing Training?
We all know how weight lifting is treated in boxing a no no from most but....
In Joe Frazier's book on boxing training, Smokin' Joe named the Bench Press as the only weight lifting exercise he would do as it increased "overall strength and power."
Not only this but fighters such as Holyfield, Foreman (comeback) and Tyson (prime) used this weight lifting exercise in the workouts also.
Your thoughts on incorperating this workout into a boxing training regime? Thanks!
nope because when training strenght it reduces stamin and endurance. and i havnt read to much into it but it does something to your punching motion.
