Episode 1: ''Size Does Matter'' The drama: Former UFC light heavyweight champions Quinton ''Rampage'' Jackson and ''Suga'' Rashad Evans arrive to pick their teams: and start trash-talking one another immediately. Meanwhile, fifteen competitors make their entrance, including former IFL champion Roy Nelson, NFL veterans Wes Shivers, Marcus Jones, Matt Mitrione, and Brendan Schaub, and UFC alumni Wes Sims, Mike Wessel, and Scott Junk. UFC President Dana White enters to calm the boys down and to introduce the 16th contestant: internet streetfighting sensation Kimbo Slice. Team Rashad James McSweeney: Evans' first choice is his teammate from Albuquerque Brendan Schaub Justin Wren Jon Madsen Roy Nelson Darrill Schoonover Matt Mitrione Mike Wessel Team Rampage Kimbo Slice Abe Wagner Demico Rogers Wes Sims Scott Junk Wes Shivers Marcus Jones Zak Jensen The fight: For the first fight, Rampage pits his second-choice Abe Wagner against Jon Madsen. An early cut on Wagner's head begins a one-sided, ten-minute bout that results in a win for Madsen and Team Rashad: and one of the bloodiest fights ever seen inside the Octagon. Episode 2: ''All About Survival The drama: Rampage's team scrambles to teach Kimbo ground skills in time for the next fight. The fight: Shivers lands some shots in the first round and gets McSweeney down, but McSweeney rebounds with some nasty leg kicks. The bout starts with a few punches landed by Nelson; Kimbo responds and opens up but is taken down with 1:33 left in the round. Nelson mounts Kimbo against the fence, locking his opponent in the crucifix position and delivering a series of unanswered blows before Kimbo is saved by the bell. UfC Kick Boxing: Guy Breaks His Leg
Do you think UFC is better that boxing?
i think that any boxer that would get in a cage would get his ass kicked but any UFC fighter would get his ass kicked in a ring. I like UFC better because of all the fighting styles. what do yaw think?
I agree. I used to watch boxing - but only the light-heavyweights and heavyweights because otherwise it almost always went to the score cards and lasted 30 minutes. When lightweight boxers wear their gloves they look like they couldn't bust a grape and it looks like a game of tag. Put those same fighters in smaller gloves and allow grappling and they are as much fun or even more so than the heavyweights because they can knock each other out or submit each other - the rounds are longer, but less of them because they wear out faster in the fast paced environment of the UFC. Boxing just isn't as real and due to all the rules and gloves not as entertaining to watch.
Mindful – thank you, you are right. I really just need to suck it up and just do it and not worry about what everyone else says.
Mommyinmotion – I used my Wii Fit last night for about 20 minutes (hubby was passed out on the couch). I had a great time with it! I'm hoping I can do a little each night.
I think my experience with the kick boxing class was unacceptable too. I am sure he was just trying to be concerned about my wellbeing… I have been to other classes (not kick boxing), and never had anyone say anything to me, but it's still stressful to walk in there and wonder if they'll say anything to me. I do enjoy classes and the varied routines, so maybe I'll give it another try again soon. Don't suppose you teach in Kentucky?
