Kickboxing Punching What are some good workout routines for a punching bag?
I just got a new punching bad. I am hoping to sight up for kickboxing lessons sometime soon, but until then i would like to know just some basic moves that are easy, and i can practice on my new bag.
Maybe if anyone has any videos they could share or websites, that would be helpful too=]
Thank you=]
Hit it, hit it some more, take a break, repeat as needed.

What can I expect from kickboxing?
Hey, I'm really interested in starting kickboxing (or possibly another martial art). I want to punch/kick things (honorable goals, right? =P), get out some aggression, gain some confidence, have a new hobby/new goals, maybe meet some new people outside of my daily grind at school...
How exactly are kickboxing classes structured? There seems to be different kinds... punching bags? music? fighting another person?
What can I expect if I sign up?
Thanks for any information!
Your going to find 3 basic class type, fitness, beginer/casual and fighting, fitness is what it is, its not very fight focused and your going to be doing a lot of cardio, bag work and stuff, probably lots of exercises as well like pushups
Casual classes are for people who want to learn how to fight but are not necessarily training to fight in the ring, they might do it for self defence and fitness, you might get a bit of sparing in here but maybe not and there will be more technical work, some more footwork which you probably wont get in the fitness class, still lots of cardio I bet
Fighting classes are for those training for a fight and there is going to be some sparing, bag work, cardio basicaly everything is going to be in this class, you probably wont be able to train here until you train in the casual/beginer class for a while so have a look, see what your goals and focus is and good luck
