why wasn't Jane Fonda ever charged with a war crime?
she traveled to North Vietnam and posed for pictures with then enemy, she sat on their tanks and laughed at there jokes and told them how their were right and we were wrong
she recorded hours of radio content rambling on about how wrong we are and how we are the bad people, this was played for the American POW's and used as a form of mental warfare
she visited a north Vietnamese POW camp and upon being passed letters from the prisoners to take back tot he US, she handed them over to the Vietnamese which resulted in the soldiers being executed.
She is personally responsible for American deaths and fraternized with the enemy during a war!!!
how is this not considered espionage or domestic terrorism or being a trader!!!

@wake up and stand: I did, she is responsible for the deaths of POW's, their blood is on her hands... that is a war crime (at least by my standards).
You didn't mention she actually posed on an anti air craft gun that appeared to be in operation firing on American planes. Whether she actually fired on fellow Americans we do not know but the picture alone is worth a charge of treason due to its affect on moral. She wasn't charged with treason because she and more importantly her father were both popular public figures. Her father did not share her views and was well liked by Americans in general. The government could have certainly charged her and she did commit the crimes. The government didn't charge her because the trial would have done more damage than good. There was already violence occurring in the United States and her trial with her popular and well liked father grieving would have incited much greater violence than simply ignoring her. She did her damage and many know it but she didn't pay for her crimes because that action would have caused more harm than good. Too many people were actively against the war already and she would have been a perfect martyr for their cause.

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
