what would you take? can u help me and my story writing?
if u were in the water after a horrible ship wreck and could only quickly salvage 3 things from the water out of this list what would they be to take for survival on a dessert island?

3) HALF A BOTTLE OF POP
4) A CHEST CONTAINING PAPERS PENS A COMPASS AND WRITING EQUIPMENT.
5) A JACKET CONTAINING IN ITS POCKETS A PEN TORCH, MARS BAR,WHISTLE, WALLET WITH MONIE AND I.D CIGARETTES AND A LIGHTER.
6) SHOES WITH VALUABLE LACES MAYBE USEFULLY?
7) PLASTIC BAG
8)ROPE
9)BOTTLE OF RUM
10)FISHING TACKLE BOX
After u decided what u would take can u explain why u salvaged them 3 things? what they would be usefull for for example?
1.) The canvas sail - This could be used to create shelter, as well as a number of other things (such as to be used as a sail if I am able to build a raft of some sort).
5.) The jacket - I would mainly take this for the lighter, for that would certainly come in handy to quickly make a fire (to boil sea water and to possibly make food); also, the Mars bar, the pen torch, the whistle, and the jacket itself could be useful for numerous things.
10.) The fishing tackle box - Any old stick/branch can be turned into a fishing rod, and given that there is fishing line in the box, then fish could be easily caught for food. And I'm sure a number of things in the tackle box (fishing line, lures, etc.) could be used for other purposes.

This work is not going to be valuable. It's a modern imitation of Byzantine style, possibly very nice to look at, but not a work of artistic importance. There are probably many of these floating around. You could put it on ebay and someone who liked it might buy it, but you don't have a goldmine on your hands.
