What are the chances the Lightning won't pursue another goalie, and stick with Holmqvist?
I'd say very, very, very good. GM Jay Feaster said he's got more cap room than expected, and may not have to move any of the big three

The only way they pursue another goalie is if they can trade Denis. He has two years left on his contract with the Lightning and they may have to either pay part of it or buy it out to let him go (which will count against the cap anyway). Holqvist came in last year and earned his opportunity to be #2. His play made him #1, but still needs more work and experience to get the team where they need to be. If they can't dump Denis, then the only focus will have to improve scoring from the second and third line.

Will water cause damage to my sparring gear?
I own a set of Pro Force Lightning sparring gear and I use 'Cobra' gloves by Kim Pacific. Next week in a sparring class I attend in the summer, we will be sparring in a freshwater lake. I was wondering if submerging my gear in water will cause any damage to the foam or the vinal coating? Any information you might have could be useful to me. Thank you.
Your gear should be fine so long as you dry it out thoroughly after your sparring session is done.
Wait, wait....Sparring in a lake?!
Anyway, sparring gear is made to take punishment - sweat, impact, etc. Make sure you dry off the gear really well - and make sure the inside foam is dry - before you pack it. Hang it out to dry - do not put it in a dryer. It will mildew if it stays wet for any amount of time.
Good luck - try not to step on any turtles or rusty fish hooks.
