Mma Single Face
If only one martial art could exist, all others vanish, what would you want to remain?
If all other ma, except for one, would vanish from the face of the earth what would you want to be the one, and only, style that existed on Earth? Why that style or system? Has to be a style, no MMA or JKD, etc. they are ways of looking at martial arts but not a single style in its self. No mixed or eclectic styles. Examples: Sho Rin Ryu, Kempo, Kendo, Aikido, TKD, etc.
I used to want to be the grandmaster of Ching Ching Pow and Run Fu. (The ultimate blend of street fighting yin and yang). I've been in a few fights and none were fare: one person would be holding onto me while two others were trying to punch and kick me or one had a knife or broom handle etc. Then the police would come and add misery to injury. I think a fare fight is an oxymoron. I have black belts and you don't need a martial art to get in or out of a fight. The muscle memory to get to a safe place that a martial art instills from repetitive training can help. Basically the way we train is the way we fight. A martial arts style is the way someone tends to move, for instance a Taekwondo stylist could be someone that trains in various martial arts SYSTEMS while making Taekwondo the way he fights. Jujitsu has punching, kicking and grappling so is more versatile than a lot of other martial arts systems that might only have grappling or only have striking, however, weapons have been a part of combat in every culture since the beginning of time, and when someone tries to kill someone else they will most likely be using a weapon to do so, not empty hand. Unfortunately, most martial arts will only leave the practioners with a false sense of security, and this would include most jujitsu schools even if weaponry is part of the system.
Two of the most effective martial arts I know of are Cabales Serrada Escrima and Kung Fu San Soo. Neither one is intended for sport, but rather for killing another human being with bare hands if need be. Both are weapon oriented. I've trained in both and would not want to fight someone from either system. I would rather be friends. I would refuse to train a mean person in either. For me I prefer the Serrada SYSTEM, because it improved my martial arts abilities in all of the other martial arts systems I had previously trained in. It saved my life and my grandson's life against a viciuos knife attack. Serrada has effective empty hand fighting techniques with tactical precission to end a confrontation to the Serrada Stylist's advantage. Serrada has counter grappling for standing, and on the ground and even against more than one person, and it has punching and kicking and combatives to destroy the human body in seconds. Serrada also can work against someone with a weapon, when you have none. When it comes to your life there are no guarantees, but with Serrada you might just get lucky! Stay safe. Train hard and have fun! If only one martial art could exist, I would want it to be Serrada.
