1st u gotta tackle your opponent an den just ground and pound thats what all the wrestlers have been doing in mma they really havnt tried anything such as submission moves.

I do I love wrestling mma and ufc will hire anything and I mean thang. MMA and UFC is just trashy but wwe has class I think.
I prefer MMA any day.

As a former wrestler this is the only advice I can give you: Be prepared to back peddle and try to catch him with some punches as he comes in. If you don't know how to "sprawl" look it up on youtube and learn now!! He will more than likely try to setup a double leg by throwing a punch and then ducking in for the shot so be prepared to sprawl and when you do sprawl don't wait around down. Get back to your feet and continue to back peddle. Lastly and this may be unfamiliar to you (I don't know much about your back ground) but DO NOT initiate the punching. The reason being he may wait for you to punch and when your arms are extended and your momentum is moving forward you have no defense against a double leg takedown. Your best chance is to back peddle, sprawl, try to time his punches that he uses to to set up his take downs and then catch him with a big shot coming in.
One last thing….If you do hit him with a good shot and he goes down, DO NOT follow him to the ground. I know that may sound crazy but if you don't finish him quickly then he will likely reverse you and you will be on bottom, where you don't want to be. You're best bet is to let him get up and then repeat the process. Good luck
