How can I tell if a pair of shoes meets OSHA standards?

Totally Non Metallic Shoe
A totally non-metallic shoe can't meet the steel safety toe requirement. According to OSHA, a shoe must meet the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standard for Men's Safety-Toe Footwear, ANSI Z41-1991. The best way to determine if the ANSI standard requirement has been met by the shoe manufacture is to look for the "ANSI Z41.1" marking in the shoe. If these shoes include this marking, they meet OSHA standards.
