Do boxing promoters realize they are ruining our sport?
Take Zab Judah as one example.
If you look at the UFC GSP losses his title so his very next fight is against a top 5 fighter in the divison.
Now look at Judah he loses and his next fight is a walk in the park. This is so common in boxing, you lose a title fight then you fight a couple guys that have zero shot of winning and then you get another title shot. Ridiculous. Right now if Boxing was like the UFC a fight would be made with Judah and Clottey or some other top contender. IN MMA contenders fight contenders in boxing contenders fight pretenders.

I doubt the majority of UFC fighters who Dana White is ripping off financially would agree, but a lot more on that will be coming out in the future. Since boxing literally is owned by the promoters, thus making it their sport and not yours, no they do not care. Boxing promoters have always been criminals from the invention of the sport to now (Don King is a choir boy next to most of the old time promoters) and it will never change. Boxing exists as a way for drug cartels to launder money (ever wonder why all boxing organizations are based in Columbia), so it is going to stay corrupt as long as it exists.
As far as Zab Judah goes he is an old, washed up, bum. After repeated losses in big fights he is not marketable or a pay per view fighter. He is lucky at this point he can even fight bums. That is what match making is about, making money, not who is in what top 5, so until Judah proves he deserves a fight with a top 5 guy he can beat up tomato cans.
