Hi there i need advice with my water?
Hi guys and thnx for the response about my water on my new tank .. I dont see any changes on the water its still foggy it smels wierd like burn or acid i dont know .. Its new tank new gravel new decorations and poland spring water .. im going crazy and i have 5 platys and 2 molys pragnant , if they havin babies i wont see them .. plss help me .. i have tester kits i dont know how to use them give me some instructions.
My tank its NEW 26 galons from PETCO oak front bowl.. I have tester PH Test range 6.2-7.4
Are they dip sticks or are they liquid tests? what brand if you have that API liquid ammonia you fill the water to the line in the tube and add x amount of drops from the bottle (mine are 8 from each bottle, don't know how it varies from SW to FW) but the directions give detailed instructions on how to do it. the cloudy water is because it is new and to over stocked for being new, the fog is actually bacterial bloom. if you have a good filter the water will clear up in a week or two. Like I said what test kits are they?
