Punch Pads
My wrists hurt when punching pads.?
I can use the bag ok no pain what so ever its just the pads, what shape should my hands and wrists be. I use raps and 16oz . I think i curl my rists too much so every shot is a bit of a hook. Any advise or links would be great.
Who is holding the pads for you? Is it a trainer who knows what they are doing?
When you punch the bag, it moves back, so your wrists dont get jammed. Same with your opponets face! The same is supposed to happen with the pads. As soon as you hit them, the trainer is supposed to move them back slightly. He isnt supposed to hold the pads so firm that they dont move when you punch them. At my gym, if you ask anyone to work the pads with you, they wont do it unless they know how to.

i never wear gloves unless i am sparring. if you punch properly you wont hurt your hands.

Oh we had Street Fighter but there was only one, the one with the punch pads and it was always crowded. Holosseum was something that I’d play and lose quick, walk around, go back and play lose quick, walk around etc etc… Guilty pleasure I guess, now that I think about it.
