Do they make padded weapons that do damage on par with striking?

Ok I want to know if they make padded weapons that cause damage on par with kicks and punches. For example padded staves, swords, etc.

I'm talking about something that you could fight with and cause damage on par with MMA fighting, but not kill anyone. For example you could possible KO someone, but nothing worse.

this type of sparing and competition, already exists.
although the object is not to knock them out. for the reason that if you can still generate enough force to kill the person, with them.

you can not wrap a metal polo in foam, it will still feel like you getting hit with a metal polo.
even if you wrap a weapon in foam you can still kill a person with it., you dont understand the power a weapon can generate.

the closest think you have heard of kendo. there are kobudo tournaments. were we use the other weapons. (bo, tinbe/rochin, yari etc), we have been doing this for decades. you people need to go to some kobudo tournaments to see the safety measures that we have in place to avoid injuries before you go out and do this on your own and end up putting people in the hospital.

Also consider being knocked out, is the lest of your problems. You need to have a throat guard to protect you against a thrust. Weapons are not just swung from the side a lot of people use them for thrusting, and with out proper protection can cause serious injury.

My hands are shaking after my first mma training?

I just had my first mma (mixed martial arts) training and we did some punches and kicks with pads. After some time I've noticed my hands were shaking while I was holding pads. Also 15min after training when i was drinking some water, my handing that was holding the glass was shaking too...Does anyone know why is this? And is there any way I prevent the shaking?

People unconsciously tighten up a bit when they're holding pads. After you're done holding them, all that tension is released. This is perfectly normal and nothing to be worried about.
