What are good athletic mouth guards for braces?

I play womens lacrosse and a strapless mouth guard is required. i use the shock doctor braces mouth guard but its big and i cant talk and communicate on the field while wearing it. I know they say that the boil and bite ones cant be used for braces because they will get stuck, but has anyone tried it and had success? also would the shock doctor gel max one work, because all you do is bite and it takes the imprssion. ive also found some boil and bite ones made for braces, one is the shield extreme mouth guard for braces and the other is safe-t-guard brace yourself mouth guard for braces. i would just like any reviews, success stories, or other options. thanks.

I bought the " Opro Ortho". It is another version of their original design but specially made for fixed braces. They come in one size which is 7 to adult so there should be no problem with size issues. I find it much more comfortable than all the others out there. I tried the shock doctor too and it was enormous! I tried cutting it and it was still to big. They do the opro ortho in about 6 different colours - i have the pink one!

They do it in Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze has the least protection and Gold has the most. I wouldn't say there is much difference but the price. I recommend you buy the silver so you are not wasting your money on a small difference. They are relatively cheap compared to some in the market - Gold being the most expensive.

   I'm in full agreement on the night guard. It's been a life changer, yet still manage to break my teeth through the mouth guard. Ugh.
   I can't help but chuckle about saving the bed for “bed activities.” Maybe that's the middle schooler in me.

   your dentition is unique to you. your dentist is unique. his treatment is designed for YOU because of the unique way your teeth are. if the device really bothers you, consult him and find out why yougot this device and what can be done to keep it from causing discomfort.

   if in the end you MUST use the hated device, suffer through. straight well working teeth are worth more than those unsightly WHITE fake colored teeth most people adore. brush well, brush often.
