Shorts Girl
What do people think when a girl wears boy shorts?
More specifically, the basketball shorts that guys wear casually on warm days. I have two pairs of them, they're comfy, and my mom's probably not going to let me buy any more shorts (because apparently I have too much, when in reality I've outgrown a lot of them), so I'm wondering if I should wear boy shorts to school.
So, what do people, namely teenagers, think when a girl wears boy shorts?

It surprises me how Christians are so easily seduced by the world and its flavors and entertainments.
Would we have non-alcoholic drink parties, complete with beer-bongs and all the other excesses of a college frat party but without the ethanol content? Obviously, no.
Would we be so quick to endorse Christianized sensuality in our youth? How about short shorts on girls with “Jesus” on the behind instead of something else?
Would we be right to condone Christianized Action Films where all the bad guys that get blown up hate God and the good guys go to church on Sunday?
Why then, are we so quick to adopt the world's music and just add “Christian lyrics” as if music tones and rhythms are amoral? It's tempting to see rythms, tones and modalities as amoral, isn't it?
But God called Israel away from all forms of pagan worship. They weren't to use the same fires (see the sons of Aaron, e.g.) They weren't to use Ashteroths (see Gideon et al.). They weren't to use the same anything. What if the Israelites had taken Caaninite songs and melodies and substituted Jewish lyrics? Ridiculous, right? But isn't that what we're doing with Christ rap and such?
Hip-Hop music is the most egregious of all music forms. The lyrics denigrate women, races, age, society, government, etc.. They advocate violence, drug use, sex with anyone and everyone, etc.. And it is THIS music form that is being used to teach doctrine now?
Is there no other alternative? Are we so impoverished in our methodologies that the ONLY way to reach kids is to use a tool that Satan uses every day to seduce them away from God? Haven't we legitimized the music form by using it to our own ends? When the kid brings home Tupac or 50 cent, what will our argument be? I can hear their answer already “Oh.. I don't listen to the lyrics.. I just like the beat..”
If any man loves the world or the things of the world… I'm not suggesting that anyone who uses hip hop to teach doctrine loves the world, but I do ask them why hip hop is the only tool they can use.. it sure looks like a love for the things of the world, and the most gross sinful things of the world at that!
Hip Hop can be a beautiful expression of music.. but generally speaking it's mind numbing, emotion provoking, lowest common denominator type music that is hardly befitting a child of God. If you don't believe me, listen to it for more than 60 minutes – then get back to me and tell me how encouraging our children to appreciate this music form is a good thing, when 90% + of that music form is going to lead them away from God.
By the way, I'm not an 80 year old man who hates modern music. And I'm not against using all music forms. But this music form particularly is rooted in demonic worship and the worst depravity of mankind.

I was at the beach recently too and I didn't notice many boy shorts on the girls, how about you?
Flip flops were definitely the footwear choice!
