What are some traditional British clothes?
Like drivers caps, plaid shorts, I mean stuff Americans don't wear, things that would look English. OTHER than just Union Jack T-Shirts.
i dont really know tbh. but living in london, i can tell when soemone is american, im not really sure how.. lol. but 90% of the time i know before i hear there accent. apparently english teenagers try to be original and not fit in (bullsh!t) haha. no but seriously. english people dont really wear anything i havnt seen on ameican clothing websites, or anything like that. and no-one wears a union jack tshirt!! haha

Where do you recommend in Majorca?
My husband and I (early 40s) are hoping to go to Majorca for a week at the beginning of September but have never been here before and would like advice on where to go.
We are leaving our teenagers at home so do not need family friendly.
We would like nice beach, nice hotel/apartment, the more upmarket end of the scale. Not too quiet but no union jack boxer shorts please.
I have just returned from Alcudia and it was fantastic!!! The hotel we stayed in was the condessa de la bahia and it was right on the beach!!! it really is lovely and being an all inclusive hotel, it is great value for money!!!

I've already criticised this vile kit elsewhere as you know. I dislike it for two reasons:
1. It's got silly little red and blue crosses on the back that have no place on a sports shirt
2. It has returned the blue shorts.
The Union Jack is rarely seen at Wembley these days and that's right. The English football team don't represent all of Britain so its presence is inappropriate. The all white with red trimmings kit went some way to addressing the issue of England as a separate identity from Britain and was welcome. The changing of the anthem should have been the next step (for two reasons – 1 it's the British anthem so an English one, ideally Jerusalem, should have been found. 2 we shouldn't have an anthem that proclaims the monarch)
Ultimately though money speaks louder than any political (if it existed) will. Bring out a new kit with snazzy new shorts and kids will badger their parents for it. That's a lot of money for the FA and Umbro. By comparison continuing with all white ones doesn't come accompanied by the kerching of tills.
Shame. Though I guess in the grand scheme of things, rather like the wrapping Kit Kats come in, it's pretty inconsequential…
