A gear wheel with 85 teeth rotates at 6500 r/min and drives another gear at 9866 r/min. How many teeth does the driven gear have?
please show how to do it.. 10 pts thx in advance
The rpm is inversely proportional to the number of teeth:
N1R1 = N2R2
N = number of teeth
R = RPM
85(6500) = N2(9866)
N2 = 85(6500/9866) = 56
