What is the theme or subject in this poem?
I'll ask for a red rose blossoming in the snow.
a music box hid in a walnut shell
nine golden apples on a silver bough,
a mirror that can speak, and cast a spell
I'll send them east of the moon, and west of the sun
and they will fail, just as the rest have done,
and i can stay at home with dear papa.
oh sometimes in my silken bed i wake
all of a shiver, and my hair on end,
because again the terrible dream, occurred:
what if one of those suitors should come back
with the impossible trophy i his hand
and i should have to keep my foolish word!
It doesn't seem to be anywhere online.
It sounds like a satirical poem about women who get conceited from all the men who see them in hopes of marriage. It's like those Jane Austin's books written in England in the 19th century during the Victorian era and dictating what was proper in romance that everybody had to obey so as not to be thought badly about in society. And this poem is about a rich girl and suitors who wanted to marry her for her money, so she's talking about golden apples on silver trees branches and being whimsical about being rich.

In case you didn't know, k means 1000, so if something says like 4k it means 4000. K pretty much means add two 0's to the end. If you already know this than nevermind, but I didn't know the first time I saw it so I thought I should explain. You seem to have a lot of good stuff you are going to sell in your yardsale so far, you should put what you Millsberry name is so people can visit it. These prices are all accurate, I was in the classifieds and also the Millsberry forum I belong to looking at them and they are all recent. If you are interested in auctioning off your stuff instead of selling it in your yardsale you should consider joining the forum I belong to, this is the web address: http://millsberryclub.proboards103.com/index.cgi?.
Here are some yardsaling tips:
-Don't ever decide not to put something in your yardsale- put EVERYTHING that has any value in your yardsale that you don't want.
-Go digging and put any antiques you don't want in your yardsale.
-During special events (like holidays, promotions, or special activities) collect as much as you can of the items they are giving away/ selling. Keep these in your basement for a couple months, but later sell them for high prices.
-Go yardsaling often, and look for items that are worth more than they are being sold for and re-sell them in your yardsale.
-Make sure you advertise your yardsale in the classifieds.
-Put all your money in the bank at the end of the day, so if millsbucks mysteriously are there the next day, you will know somebody came to your sale.
