How do UFC fighters wrap their hands?
I was curious on how UFC fighters wrap their hands. I know their are tons of different ways, but I would like to know the technique how MMA fighters wrap their hands.
Some fighters may use the same technique as others,but there is no Standard.They often use a traditional Muay Thai/Boxing wrap,which is the "X-Wrap",going over the hand in a certain pattern and moving the wrap between the fingers to create an X.
For example:
Start with the loop on your thumb,go under your hand and around your knuckles,then down the hand and to the wrist,then cross it through the space between your pinky and next finger,back to around the wrist,then through the space between the index and middle fingers,then around the knuckles,then around the wrist,and through the gap between the middle and whichever finger is next to your pinky,then once more around the knuckle,then around the wrist until completion.

FFA MMA - How to Wrap Hands for Boxing, Kickboxing, & Mixed Martial Arts (UFC style)
Why is UFC/MMA always wrapped together with Wrestling?
The 2 are EXTREMELY different. I don't see the appeal for MMA myself.. but anyway..
I don't know, either.
The main reason is because people look at "takedowns" as equivalents to wrestling's "bodyslams" and the submissions in both are similar, when in truth MMA should not be compared to wrestling. The two are different worlds, and matches in both serve different purposes.
Most of the time when people compare MMA to wrestling in the wrestling section, they are being annoying.
