Wrist Wrap for those of us who lift weights does the LP Wrist Wrap stop the pain and sorness when lifting heavy?

you shouldn't use wraps for you forearms unless you're doing heavy heavy dead lifts. you should do more wrist curls because eventually the weakness in your wrists will inhibit your progression in other exercises.

What do you do when your wrist is chronically sore from too much tennis?
- completely immobilize it for a few weeks?
- keep playing with a wrist wrap?
- dont immobilize, just stop tennis?

i can play though it, but afraid that i will just make it progressively worse. too bad, i guess i will have to shut it down for a month, just when i was playing some good tennis
Depends on how seriously injured. Chronic meaning you have not given enough time for your wrist to heal properly each time before lifting the racket. Also when the wrist feels better, start doing some muscle strengthening exercises, but you can't do it during an acute inflammatory stage. Many players have to enter tournaments w/ ailing tendinitis. If you can avoid playing for a while and wear a wrist wrap during your normal daily activities too. Think about it as a broken bone, except you have broken soft tissues, vessels, or ligaments...They too require proper healing time of months. Try to stay away from tennis for a month see how you progress ? There's no magic time formula, for every injury is different on its severity and so on. Alrighty ? Take it easy :}

Bliss and I came fully prepared for the big Cell #546 WOD complete with gloves with pink trim (Mike you can borrow them anytime to go with your wrist wraps). Jason was horrified but we were comfortable in the knowledge that we would have nice soft lady hands at the end.
What a loooooong WOD!!!!!! Although Bliss had a few subs, she did go an extra 5kg on the deadlift and I am not imagining that wall ball and sledgehammer strikes are pleasant at the best of times! Good fun and really challenging.
Time = 48:20ish.

Some thoughts on today's posts. I was part of a program for 8 years where being the best you can be was the expectation. If every person in the program was the best they can be we gave ourselves a fighting chance of success. We rarely spoke about winning and NEVER spoke about gold medals. The closest Ric Charlesworth would get is, “it would be nice to play in the late game.” All about process!
The question is, how would you (do you) train if no-one was ever watching?

Bliss and I came fully prepared for the big Cell #546 WOD complete with gloves with pink trim (Mike you can borrow them anytime to go with your wrist wraps). Jason was horrified but we were comfortable in the knowledge that we would have nice soft lady hands at the end.
